Elon Musk posted a feel-good tweet wishing his followers a “Happy Sunday” just a day after some 200 Twitter employees learned they had lost their jobs. “Hope you’re having a great Sunday,” the Twitter owner tweeted. “First day of the rest of your life.” Musk’s tweet coincided with news that 10% of Twitter’s remaining workforce has been cut, including Esther Crawford, the stalwart executive who has embraced her new boss’s “extremely hardcore” work ethos.

The Twitter executive who was seen in a viral photo sleeping on the floor at headquarters as Elon Musk enforced his “extremely hardcore” work culture has been fired, according to reports. Esther Crawford, a holdover from the old regime who is said to have won Musk’s trust and worked her way into the reclusive tycoon’s inner circle, received the boot over the weekend, according to The Information.
