Multifunctional Roles of Vacancy Defects in Advancing Thermoelectric Materials
1 Introduction Thermoelectric (TE) materials provide a straightforward and environmentally friendly approach to direct heat-to-electricity conversion [1, 2]. Their performance depends on the dimensionless figure-of-merit zT = S2σ/κ, where S, σ, T, κ, and S2σ represent Seebeck coefficient, electrical conductivity, absolute temperature, thermal conductivity, and power factor (PF), respectively. κ is mainly composed of the electronic and lattice thermal conductivities (κe and κl).

1 Introduction Thermoelectric (TE) technology enables the direct conversion between electricity and heat, playing an indispensable role in global sustainable energy solutions [1, 2]. TE conversion efficiency (η) depends on the dimensionless figure of merit zT, defined as zT = (S2σ/κ)T, where S, σ, T, and κ represent the Seebeck coefficient, electrical conductivity, absolute temperature, and total thermal conductivity, respectively [3, 4].
Fatigue Crack Propagation Analysis of Continuous Fiber‐Reinforced Titanium Matrix Composites Considering Fiber Bridging Based on XFEM
Fiber-reinforced titanium matrix composites (TMCs) possess high specific strength and stiffness, making them attractive for load-bearing structural components in aerospace and other advanced engineering applications. Event‐Based Fault Detection Filtering for Networked Switched Repeated Scalar Nonlinear Systems
This paper concerns the dynamic event-triggered fault detection (FD) problem for switched repeated scalar nonlinear systems subject to stochastic disturbance. First, an internal dynamic variable is incorporated into an event-triggered framework to adjust the triggered condition, significantly extending the triggering intervals and reducing data transmission. Then, a time-varying FD filter, which is dwell-time-dependent, is designed to produce a residual signal.
