Reconfiguring Zn-Mn Battery via Controlled Water Nanoconfinement Within Zn-Absence Electrolyte
1 Introduction The lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery dominates applications in portable device and electric vehicle (EV). However, the rising cost of its raw materials (nickel, cobalt, and lithium) and the intrinsic safety risk from the flammable/noxious electrolyte exposes the great challenge on its sustainable applications like grid scale energy storage device [1-3].

Elucidating the improvement of starch drinking straws synergized by cationic polysaccharides: Structure, intermolecular interactions, and usability
INTRODUCTION Among various packaging materials, petroleum-based plastics are extensively used due to their excellent properties. Nevertheless, these materials have caused serious environmental problems, particularly plastic straws.1 Petroleum-based plastics have extremely long degradation cycles and may take hundreds of years to decompose. Their persistence in the environment leads to soil and water pollution and ingestion by wildlife.
Nanoporous Zero-Valent Transition Metals for Enhanced Peroxymonosulfate Activation toward Phenolic Pollutants Degradation: Performance, Pathways, and DFT Mechanism Study
1 Introduction Phenolic compounds in wastewater, particularly bisphenol A (BPA) and phenol, have garnered considerable concern as hazardous environmental pollutants due to their high toxicity, persistence, bioaccumulation potential, and severe adverse effects on the endocrine and nervous systems of human beings [1, 2].

Comparative Study of the Characterization and Functional Properties of Oligosaccharides and Nanoparticles Derived from Poria cocos Polysaccharide
1 Introduction Poria cocos is a fungus from the genus Poria in the Polyporaceae family, commonly found parasitizing the roots of pine trees, and is widely used in both food and medicine (Wang et al. 2016). In recent years, the use of natural product extracts, especially polysaccharides, in food applications has become increasingly widespread (Fguiri et al. 2024; Dai et al. 2023).

Ultra‐Fast Microfluidic Synthesis of Co‐MOF‐74 With Abundant Internal Voids for Efficient OER of Electrochemical Water Splitting
Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are promising electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), owing to their high surface areas, tailorable structures, and numerous potential active sites. Herein, we investigate the impact of flow velocity within microchannels on the crystallization rate and internal structures of Co-MOF-74 via an air–liquid segmented flow method.

Revelation of the discrepancy of volatile compounds in fig (Ficus carica) via gas chromatography ion‐mobility spectrometry
1 INTRODUCTION Fig (Ficus carica Linn), belonging to the genus Ficus of the Moraceae family, is one of the most widely grown berries in the world (Mirheidari et al., 2020). Figs are extremely nutrient-rich and exert anti-cancer and antioxidant effects (Adiletta et al., 2019; Essa et al., 2015). Their unique fragrance is also loved by people and is mainly eaten fresh in China.
