Stock image/Getty Yesterday at 10:20 Two Tipperary food businesses were served with separate enforcement orders during the month of December 2025 for breaches of food legislation, according to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI). The FSAI reported on Tuesday that seven closure orders and one prohibition order were served on businesses in December under the European Union (Official Controls in Relation to Food Legislation) Regulations, 2020.

Wexford man charged with murdering retired glass worker in Waterford city

A Wexford man appeared before Waterford Court on Tuesday charged with murdering an elderly man in Waterford city earlier this year. David Norris, of 8 Assumption Terrace, Rosbercon, New Ross, Co. Wexford appeared before Judge Fiona Brennan at Waterford District Court on Tuesday, November 25. Mr Norris, 35, was charged with murdering Patrick Fitzgerald at 71 Saint Catherines Grange, Waterford city, on August 3 this year. Garda Kevin Cleere gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution.
