Eric Bowling

Born and raised in Edmonton, I initially went to school to study Biology and Paleontology, however I found the actual lifestyle of those careers less appealing than I had imagined. Over the course of the last decade I have worked alternatively as a journalist and as a labourer in the Alberta job market, which has given me a very well rounded perspective of the two bookends of society.

I was drawn into the news industry because of my deep love of learning. So far, it has been an exciting journey, taking me to military exercises, active crime scenes and structure fires, but also has given me a greater appreciation of how complex society actually is, from a legal, financial and social perspective.

From breaking news to feature writing, I am happy to cover any subject. I also take a special interest in photography and have consistently provided front-page quality artwork to my employers.
