What was your first job as a journalist?

My first paid gig was a nine-day military exercise in Wainwright, Alta. I got to ride in a Griffon helicopter sideways with open doors!

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Toss up between Peter Parker, April O Neil and Tintin.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

A dedication to honesty. Sometimes, to uphold that dedication takes a great deal of valour and a good sense of honour.

What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?

#marchonFernie was a blast.

Why did you become a journalist?

I have a deep love of learning new things and I figured the best way to be able to do so was to find a career that involved lifelong learning

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

My coverage of the Tawatinaw Valley Ski Hill has so far had an impact, helping hundreds of kids access a ski hill that was almost shut down.
