It's allowing more voices to paint a richer picture, but it's also encouraging reporters to prioritize speed over quality.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To be a journalist is to tell people what they need to hear in order to be competent participants in a democratic society.

Rarely.

Why did you become a journalist?

I like the idea of changing the world through stories.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes. I was a writer my sophomore year, a section editor my junior year, and the editor-in-chief my senior year.
