Recorded in 2010, then canceled to make way for 20Ten, the 12-track opus entitled Welcome 2 America is presented as "a powerful stance that illustrates Prince's questions, his hopes, his vision of a changing society, announcing the beginnings of an era of political divisions, disinformation and a renewed fight for racial justice. Besides the guitar, keyboards, and vocals parts of Prince, you will recognize Chris Coleman (drums), Morris Hayes (keyboards, percussion), Liv Warfield, Shelby J. and Elisa Fiorillo (vocals) and bassist Tal Wilkenfeld. You can already hear the groove of his funky bass on the eponymous single available on all platforms.
