Browning your butter, toasting your oats and adding malted milk powder makes these cookies extra flavourful. Erin Clarkson I love an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, but I find that sometimes they are a tiny bit lacking in both the flavour and texture department. I got around this by adding milk powder to my brown butter, which makes things extra toasty, and adding in a malted milk powder for depth of flavour. I also toast the oats briefly before adding to the cookie, which adds an amazing texture.
