DIY Toy Storage Shelving Unit
I’m teaming up with my friends over at Kreg to share a tutorial for this DIY toy storage unit! I built this for my two youngest sons’ bedroom to display the LEGO sets they build, and the bins can serve as storage for miscellaneous toys. Of course you could just use it as a bookshelf too. Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Kreg. All opinions are my own. You can find the build plans and step by step tutorial here. I used my Kreg Jig 520PRO for this project.

How To Paint Furniture: A Beginner's Guide
Hello friends! While refinishing furniture can be time consuming and hard work, it is well worth it when you see the outcome and know that you have created a custom piece of furniture for your home. Choosing & Purchasing Paint Made Easy (+ a Giveaway!)
Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Prestige Paints. All opinions are my own. I’ve been hard at work making over half of our downstairs (which I can’t wait to show you soon!), and anytime I work on a room makeover, I always second-guess my paint choice until I finally just force myself to settle on one and go with it. I discovered an app that makes the whole process of choosing and purchasing paint so easy.
Antique Pedestal Table Makeover Tutorial
It occurred to me recently that while I shared a peek at our kitchen table eons ago, and I shared a full tutorial on the Minwax blog last year, I’ve never actually shown you a before and after of our kitchen table. Today I want to give you all the details on our antique pedestal table makeover, including a tutorial for how we did it. This table was a lucky discovery a couple of years ago.
How to Make Wallpaper Removable
You guys! I am beyond excited about this. As I recently showed you, I added this fawn wallpaper to our master bedroom closet (you can see the makeover reveal here) and I am in love with it. It’s glam and feminine and basically everything my husband hates, but it’s the closet, ya know? I think it’s a decent compromise since I didn’t force our house to ooze femininity at every turn. The closet (or at least my half of it) was fair game as far as I’m concerned.
My Trip to Merritt Island & the 2016 HGTV Dream Home
*Email subscribers: I apologize for the wonky email you received this morning. There were some issues with my email feed but I do believe that is fixed now. Thanks for understanding!* I was recently invited by Delta Faucet to go on an all-expenses paid trip to Merritt Island, Florida, to tour the 2016 HGTV Dream Home. After pinching myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming, I quickly said yes and hopped on a plane before they had a chance to change their minds.

Predicting Prostate Cancer
EVANSTON, Ill. --- A Northwestern University-led study in the emerging field of nanocytology could one day help men make better decisions about whether or not to undergo aggressive prostate cancer treatments. Technology developed by Northwestern University researchers may help solve that quandary by allowing physicians to identify which nascent cancers are likely to escalate into potentially life-threatening malignancies and which ones will remain "indolent," or non-aggressive.
