Discussion Adolescent dietary habits and breakfast eating frequency were the key directed and mediated determinant factors for stunting and thinness in the study setting. Adolescents who had lower traditional and mixed dietary consumption habits had the most substantial causal determinants on stunting with a path coefficient of adjusted β=0.65 and β=2.697 (p<0.05), respectively.
