Etan Nechin’s Biography
I am a writer, journalist, and editor, originally from Israel. My writing in English has appeared in Ha’aretz, The Independent Persian, The Forward, Huffington Post, Apogee, Columbia Journal, Entropy, and more. Currently, I am the online editor of The Bare Life Review, a Journal of Immigrant and Refugee Literature.
I write about the changing paradigms of today's societies. Amidst global retreats into nationalist and fundamentalist ideologies, we’re forced to question the foundations of our society, democracy, our place in the world. As someone born and raised in the Middle East, lived in worked in Europe and now almost a decade in the United States, I have witnessed, wrote, and was at the crossroads of this shift my entire life.
