The ironic film festival is back for its 16th edition in Ireland with new and classic Japanese films… The Japanese Film Festival Ireland takes place across several locations every year in April to bring a diverse and eclectic programme of Japanese cinema to Irish audiences. Set up as a cultural exchange and a collaboration between the Embassy of Japan in Ireland and access>CINEMA, it’s truly one of the biggest Asian film festivals celebrated in Ireland.

Congratulations to Nezha 2 for becoming the most popular Chinese film ever and the first Chinese film to surpass 1.5billion USD worldwide! A sequel five years in the making, director Jizozi once again broke all kinds of records by directing the most popular Chinese film ever. Nezha 2 has surpassed the previous record of 742 million USD worldwide set by the first film. It has become the first Asian film to enter the top 20 international box office records.
