The choice of an electronic quality management system (eQMS) is a critical one for any medtech company. Your quality system will have a direct impact on how quickly you can get high-quality medical devices to market, as well as your ability to pass audits and remain compliant. The best QMS software solutions will drive you toward excellence by offering access to reliable quality data, and allow you to demonstrate closed-loop traceability at any time.

Most of the AI exposure in a device company right now sits outside the device. Here's where it shows up in your quality system, and what to put in place before somebody else finds it first. Somewhere in your design history file is a requirement that an AI wrote. Maybe a hazard description. Maybe the first draft of a test protocol. Maybe a whole paragraph of a risk analysis that an engineer pasted in at 11 PM last March, read twice, cleaned up, and moved on. Nobody logged it but nobody hid it, either.

Most companies treat PMCF surveys the same way they treat a design history file. Every question gets the same round of legal review. Every response scale got the same statistical scrutiny. Every survey gets the same three-week build cycle, no matter what device is behind it. That instinct comes from a good place. Uniform process feels safer than one-off judgment calls.
