Stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles and artificial nanovesicles: a translational framework for cell-free wound repair
Abstract Chronic nonhealing wounds remain a major clinical challenge, driven by persistent inflammation, impaired angiogenesis, defective extracellular matrix remodeling, and incomplete functional restoration. While stem cell therapies can modulate these processes, their clinical use is limited by low engraftment, variability, and safety concerns.
Bacteriophage-mediated restoration of epithelial integrity, DNA damage response, and transcriptomic homeostasis in colon organoids exposed to ETBF and pks + E. coli
Abstract Colorectal cancer (CRC)–associated pathobionts such as Enterotoxigenic Bacteroides fragilis (ETBF) and colibactin-producing (pks+) Escherichia coli disrupt epithelial barrier function, promote chronic inflammation, and induce genotoxic stress. To investigate how these pathogenic interactions with the host epithelium can be modulated, we employed patient-derived normal human colon organoids as an ex vivo model.
Dual-Layered Percolative Networks of Photoactive Materials and Elastomers for Highly-Stretchable, Efficient Organic Photovoltaics with Strain-Induced Power Enhancement up to 60% Strain
Dual-Layered Percolative Networks of Photoactive Materials and Elastomers for Highly-Stretchable, Efficient Organic Photovoltaics with Strain-Induced Power Enhancement up to 60% Strain Intrinsically stretchable organic solar cells (IS-OSCs) are emerging as wearable power sources due to their multi-directional stretchability. However, insufficient power conversion efficiency (PCE) and limited mechanical robustness hinder their practical applications.

Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that each of the strains formed a distinct clade within the genus Amycolatopsis.
Structural mechanism of insulin receptor activation by a dimeric aptamer agonist
Abstract Insulin binding to the insulin receptor (IR) triggers signaling pathways that regulate glucose uptake and cell growth. In previous work, we identified a DNA aptamer, A62, which partially activates the IR. During engineering aptamers for improved in vivo stability, we discovered that crosslinking two A62 aptamers with linkers of varying lengths led to full phosphorylation of the IR, though activation remained selective to the AKT pathway.

Strategic approaches for designing yeast strains as protein secretion and display platforms
Abstract Yeast has been established as a versatile platform for expressing functional molecules, owing to its well-characterized biology and extensive genetic modification tools. Compared to prokaryotic systems, yeast possesses advanced cellular mechanisms that ensure accurate protein folding and post-translational modifications. These capabilities are particularly advantageous for the expression of human-derived functional proteins.

Classification Technique of Algae Using Hyperspectral Images of Algae Culture Media
Abstract : Increases in algal growth have been reported in rivers, reservoirs, and other water resources worldwide, including Korea. Algal overgrowth can result in algal bloom, which has several negative impacts, such as ecosystem degradation and economic losses. Mitigation measures employed in Korea include an algal warning system and survey-based water quality forecast systems. However, these methods are time-consuming and require sample collection from the site.
Metabolic Health, Obesity, and Intraocular Pressure
Abstract : Obesity has been associated with increased intraocular pressure (IOP), but the results are inconsistent. Recently, a subgroup of obese individuals with good metabolic profiles were suggested to have better clinical outcomes than normal-weight individuals with metabolic diseases. The relationships between IOP and different combinations of obesity and metabolic health status have not been investigated.

Catching Up Elegantly: An Algebraic Solution | JD Supra
A “Catch-up” in the private equity world is commonly used as a means for a fund Manager (“Manager”) to earn a fee equal to a percentage of the profit but only after the investor has received back its investment and earned a preferred return (often expressed as an internal rate of return or “IRR”). In other words, a Catch-up is a mechanism for the Manager to get compensated for their foregone incentive fees (“Carried Interest” or “Carry”) due to a preferred return.

Overcoming the thermodynamic equilibrium of an isomerization reaction through oxidoreductive reactions for biotransformation
Abstract Isomerases perform biotransformations without cofactors but often cause an undesirable mixture of substrate and product due to unfavorable thermodynamic equilibria. We demonstrate the feasibility of using an engineered yeast strain harboring oxidoreductase reactions to overcome the thermodynamic limit of an isomerization reaction. Specifically, a yeast strain capable of consuming lactose intracellularly is engineered to produce tagatose from lactose through three layers of manipulations.
