Abstract CFT8634, an orally bioavailable, selective, heterobifunctional degrader of bromodomain-containing protein 9 (BRD9), showed robust and dose-dependent BRD9 degradation and antitumor activity in preclinical synovial sarcoma and SMARCB1-null tumor models. This study characterizes the safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy of CFT8634 in patients with these indications.

Summary Background Volanesorsen is an antisense oligonucleotide that targets hepatic apolipoprotein C-III synthesis and reduces plasma triglyceride concentration. The aim of this study was to explore the safety and efficacy of volanesorsen in patients with multifactorial chylomicronaemia syndrome. Methods The COMPASS trial was a randomised, placebo-controlled, double-blind, phase 3 study done at 38 international clinical sites in Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, UK, and USA.
