EVA HENRY: Corruption resurfaces in Adams, Arapahoe County politics linked to One Main Street Original
Stickers (Marla R. Keown/Aurora Sentinel) When I was first elected to serve as an Adams County Commissioner in 2012, I ran to root out corruption. Things had gotten really bad here, to the point that nearly every Sunday there was a story in the newspaper about a new scandal erupting. Cronyism and nepotism had become commonplace, and it was in this era that our county earned the nickname “the New Jersey of Colorado politics”.
Federal funding helps green jobs in Adams County | OPINION
Bob Dylan said it best: the times they are a-changin. And Adams County is changing with the times. Clean-energy jobs are growing in our region, thanks to innovative businesses that have gotten a necessary boost from new, federal funding opportunities that make starting or growing a business a possibility that would otherwise be too risky. The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was adopted by Congress in 2021 with rare bipartisan support.

Introducing the Cesky Terrier The Cesky Terrier (pronounced "chess-ky terrier" or "sess-ky terrier") is a small- to medium-sized dog featuring beautiful silky, wavy fur in various shades of gray. Also known as the Bohemian Terrier, this breed holds the honor of being the national dog of the Czech Republic (Cesky means Czech). Companionable and friendly with humans, as well as a clever and skilled hunter in the field, this breed makes a wonderful family dog.

But when your “local” first responders are hours away, how many homes are in jeopardy when a fire can spread through a community in the blink of an eye?
Opinion: Stronger methane rules will benefit the West Slope and Front Range alike
As county commissioners representing both sides of the Continental Divide, we know that by working together we can ensure strong protections for our air and climate to the benefit of all Coloradans. This December, the Colorado’s Air Quality Control Commission (AQCC) will consider strong new rules to cut methane and air pollution from oil and gas operations across the state.
Viewpoint: Strengthen Colorado's air quality, preserve the economy - Denver Business Journal
While Colorado has made huge strides in recent years to maintain a strong economy and strong environmental protections, air quality remains a challenge across the Front Range. From Fort Collins to Highlands Ranch, we still fail to meet national clean air standards. Clean air is a nonnegotiable for Coloradans. Without it, we cannot enjoy our beautiful blue skies and our quality of life is degraded.
