Still, they kept at it, reading lines and going over the script virtually for David Lindsay-Abaire’s 2015 comedy set in a senior living facility, bi-weekly, if not more often.

B Street Theatre presents “Byhalia, Mississippi” by Evan Linder, opening March 3. Linder’s connection to B Street Theatre traces back to his professional history with core acting company member Tara Sissom. Both are founding members of Chicago’s The New Colony, where Linder remains the company’s co-artistic director. That connection brought Linder’s “5 Lesbians Eating A Quiche” to Sacramento in 2015 to great success.
