What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means providing coverage for interested parties while reporting the truth and only the truth in an ethical manner.

Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist because I finally found my calling in undergrad and am striving toward it full-time.

I did not.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I'm super proud of working on a story about Nazem Kadri where in just 48 hours, he received death threats and scored a hat trick - all at 2am
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Keep on grinding and working hard - it will eventually work itself out, even if it is painful and doesn't seem like it will.

You can pitch me any time, it just may take some time for me to respond.

The best pitch I've gotten is about a story for the Avalanche captain and about his surgery from a doctor.

The worst pitch I've gotten is writing about the closest restaurant chain to each NHL arena.

Being from Colorado, I've become accustomed to drinking too much water.

I'm most likely to be at the arena or field working an event.

My favorite publication to read is The Denver Post.

The most common misperception is that we don't work hard and that we aren't legit about working on and covering the team.
