1 Introduction Keloid disease is a fibroproliferative skin disorder characterised by persistent scar growth beyond the confines of the original wound [1]. This pathological progression is attributed to the continued production of excessive disorganised collagen by hyperproliferative fibroblasts. Keloid genesis is commonly associated with traumatic wounds and inflammatory processes.
