What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

You can have a non traditional background and still be good at journalism. Don't close yourself off to learning

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Man who spotted bigfoot in the Lehigh Valley.

What's your favorite drink?

A good homemade lavender latte. Off the clock, a pickle martini.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Gym.

New York Times. Or the Onion

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That I don't have fun doing the menial. I love the menial.
