Main findings Hovedfunn Estimert insidens av Cushings sykdom i Helse Vest i perioden 1.1.2010 til 31.12.2022 var 3,0 per million innbyggere per år. 33 av 42 pasienter hadde én eller flere metabolske sykdommer på diagnosetidspunktet. Alle pasientene gjennomgikk hypofysekirurgi som førstelinjebehandling. Ved studieslutt eller død var 20 av 42 pasienter i remisjon etter hypofysekirurgi og/eller gammaknivbehandling.

Abstract The Autoimmune Regulator, AIRE, acts as a transcriptional regulator in the thymus, facilitating ectopic expression of thousands of genes important for the process of negative T-cell selection and immunological tolerance to self. Pathogenic variants in the gene encoding AIRE are causing Autoimmune polyendocrine syndrome type 1 (APS-1), defined by multiorgan autoimmunity and chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis.

Research design and methods Fear of Covid 19 scale, a validated scale assessing the fear of Covid 19, was sent electronically to 16255 patients with type 1 diabetes in May 2021. The items are rated on a scale from 1 to 5 (total scores from 7 to 35). The higher the score, the greater the fear.
