All chickens were obtained from the fast-growing white-feathered pure line, produced by Xinguang Agricultural and Animal Industrials Co., Ltd. (Mile, China). The 86 healthy broilers at 42 days, raised under standard environmental and nutritional conditions (NY/T 33-2004), were randomly divided into a HS group (41 chicks) and a control group (45 chicks). While, the HS was induced by raising the lab temperature from 24℃ to 38 ℃ within 0.5 h and continued to be treated for 3 h [88].
