1. Introduction Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multipotent cells that can differentiate into a variety of cell types, including bone, cartilage, muscle, and fat cells. They are commonly isolated from bone marrow but can also be found in other tissues, such as adipose tissue and the umbilical cord. MSCs are attractive for medical applications due to their ability to migrate to sites of injury or inflammation and their potential to differentiate into cells that can repair damaged tissue [1].
