Using a vibrating tube density meter, the densities and speeds of sound of 1,2-dichloroethane, methyl tert-butyl ether, diisopropyl ether, and diethyl ether were measured at T = 278.15 to 333.15 K and at atmospheric pressure. The densities of the three binary mixtures (1,2-dichloroethane + ethers) were also experimentally determined. The Redlich–Kister data treatment and partial molar volume were applied to the excess molar volume of the mixtures.

Excess molar volumes for 1,4-dioxane + 2-propanol + 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane ternary mixture and for the constituent binaries were determined from density measurements over the entire composition range at four temperatures between 288.15 and 318.15 K and at atmospheric pressure. The ether-containing binary mixtures present a positive excess molar volume, VE, with alkanol and negative VE values with chloroalkane over the whole composition and working temperature ranges.

Densities, ρ, and molar excess volumes, VE, for binary and ternary systems of (1,4-dioxane, 1-propanol or 2-propanol, and 1,2-dichloroethane) were measured over the whole composition range, at T = [288.15, 298.15, 308.15, and 318.15] K, and atmospheric pressure. The density measurements were performed using an Anton Paar vibrating U-tube densimeter.
