I am a young journalist deeply interested in the connection between art, culture and politics. I specialize in political reporting but throughout my extensive experience as a former staff writer at my college newspaper and current work at the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, I have also written on arts and lifestyle, crime and sports. As a journalist, I strive to provide crucial information to the public in a creative and ethical way, passionately supporting persistent and truthful journalism as a means for communication.
I received an interdisciplinary degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks combining history, political science and journalism. Following my graduation, I interned at the Juneau Empire for 6 weeks before returning to Fairbanks to accept a full-time position at the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner as their state politics reporter.
