1 Introduction The global intellectual landscape of academic research remains predominantly shaped by English-language scholarship, often marginalising contributions from non-English speaking regions, particularly those from the Global South (Connell 2007; de Sousa Santos 2015). This linguistic hegemony constrains the breadth of knowledge production and dissemination, limiting our capacity to engage fully with diverse perspectives and creating the risk of bias.
