Abstract Background: The global incidence of severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) is increasing, yet mortality rates remain persistently high. Novel therapeutic approaches are urgently needed to improve outcomes. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of high-dose intravenous vitamin C in improving organ support-free days within the first 14 days and other clinical outcomes in patients with SAP. Method: This is a prospective, randomized, double-blind, multicenter clinical trial.

Development of risk assessment models for microvascular complications in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients: a cross-sectional study
Abstract This study aimed to develop and validate nomogram risk estimation models for assessing the risk of microvascular complications, specifically diabetic retinopathy (DR) and diabetic kidney disease (DKD), in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted involving 6,043 T2DM patients. Clinical and laboratory data were collected.
