5. Discussion The fast manipulation of micromachines can result in excessive losses in the form of quantum friction, which reduces its efficiency. Thus, finding an STA is of paramount importance in quantum thermodynamics since, even after considering the energy cost associated, STA-enhanced thermal machines have the potential for greatly enhanced efficiency.. It also allows for the design of rapid quantum gates, which makes it useful for quantum information processing as well.
