Abstract Dopamine (DA) is a key modulator of prefrontal cortex function, yet how distinct dopaminergic states shape the temporal organization of cortical population activity during behavior remains poorly understood. We combined in vivo fiber photometry of dorsomedial prefrontal cortex (dmPFC) putative glutamatergic neurons with an object-based attention (OBAT) task in male mice to examine this question.

1. Introduction Among the main concerns of civil engineers throughout the construction’s life cycle, the proper functioning of structural systems and the safety of users stand out. To minimize structural problems caused by wear and tear, aging, climate change, or misuse, continuous monitoring of the structure’s condition is important, especially for detecting any anomalies at early stages.

Episodic memory (EM) is a subsystem responsible for storing and recalling information about the basic elements of an event in a binding manner. Some approaches consider the temporal element to be one of the basic components of EM (WWWhen paradigm), while others consider that the contextual component is able in practice to better represent this cognitive ability (WWWhich paradigm).
