The roots of APN go back to November 2010 when Avaya's Chief Architect for Worldwide Public Safety Solutions, Mark Fletcher, was looking for a home for his new weekly Podcasts on E9-1-1 and Public Safety initiatives. A small, but dedicated, group of followers subscribed to the weekly content, and a year later, the Podcasts were expanded to weekly written blogs hosted on http://Avaya.com/Blogs. Not only have I used one, I have owned several, including non-correcting non-powered models that probably burned calories using them.

How is social media changing news?

The world has become a reporter, journalists need to sort through the mess and isolate the real dories from the hype.
