Abstract Sex differentially shapes aging, neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). However, most biological aging clocks (artificial intelligence-predicted age minus chronological age) were trained on sex-pooled samples and implicitly assume sex invariance.Here we developed 38 sex-specific biological aging clocks across 15 organ systems.

Key Points Question What brain morphometric features are associated with bulimia nervosa (BN) and scale with specific symptoms of the disorder? Findings In this case-control study including 786 female participants across 17 international cohorts, individuals with BN (n = 369) had lower nucleus accumbens volume and lower cortical surface area of superior temporal and transverse temporal cortices. More widespread cortical surface area reductions were associated with binge eating.
