Fran Gonzalez’s Biography

For the past four years, I have been a journalist writing for the Republican Journal/Waldo Villagesoup in Belfast, Maine, covering community and midcoast news.

As a reporter I work across multiple technologies and deal with a wide range of people working creatively and independently without supervision and managing multiple tasks and deadlines on a daily basis.

I enjoy the challenge of creating a narrative for people’s stories across Waldo County.

My job consists of interviewing people, gathering, analyzing and interpreting information from several sources and incorporating photographs to tell a story. I also research topics thoroughly to achieve subject matter expertise.

I continue to do graphic design work on a freelance basis, recently designing CDs for terry kitchen (terrykitchen.com) and Paul Kaplan (paulkaplanmusic.com).
