The ILGA-Europe’s Rainbow report is an annual evaluation of the legal and policy situation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT+) individuals in the European Union. It ranks the countries according to various criteria, such as non-discrimination, equality, and hate crime. In 2022, Italy was 33rd out of the European Union’s 49 member states. This means that the country is one of the most intolerant environments for LGBTQ+ individuals.

Officials in New York are very concerned about an outbreak of polio, which is the latest in a series of infectious diseases that have affected the state. The US was polio-free in 1979 after high vaccination rates. However, the disease has reappeared in multiple counties, and one person has been declared disabled. The person who was declared disabled was not vaccinated. It is believed that they are one of the hundreds of individuals in the state infected with the virus.
