Abstract A revised version of the MEDSLIK-II oil spill numerical model software is presented. MEDSLIK-II is a free, open-source numerical model for oil spill transport and fate from surface oil releases, simulating the slick evolution. This paper describes the restructuring of the model workflow and setup, done by the introduction of new tools to pre-process the input data and post-process the output.
