Forskere ved NILU har analysert hvor utsatt norsk økonomi og næringsliv vil være ved en økende grad av flomhendelser. I fremtiden kan vi oftere få stormflo som er tre ganger mer ødeleggende enn de verste hendelsene i dag. Norge har verdens nest lengste kyst, ifølge Kartverket over 104 000 km. Dette gjør oss ekstra sårbare for økte havnivåer og stormflo. — På grunn av klimaendringene kan havnivået stige.
