The biomarkers discovery of hyperuricemia and gout: proteomics and metabolomics
Urinary stone proteomics The presence of hyperuricemia is associated with renal damage. A decrease in renal UA excretion is a common cause of hyperuricemia and the main mechanism of hyperuricemia in most cases of gout. In light of the fact that hyperuricemia can result in kidney damage, such as the formation of urinary stones, we investigated urinary stone proteomics in patients with hyperuricemia or gout to identify unique biomarkers. In proteomics, the most commonly used technique is LC-MS/MS.
