ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Stony Point Elementary School is hosting a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics showcase on Tuesday. Students focused on these STEAM fields are demonstrating their creations. Some of those projects include drones, 3-D printers, Oxobots, virtual reality, and snap-circuits. Students were able to learn how to code the Oxobots and other technologies.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- In February, the offices of economic development in Charlottesville and Albemarle County offered an opportunity for small businesses to compete. Piedmont Pitch was a 10-week program allowing small business owners to learn about better business skills and habits. There were about 70 applicants to the program, who has the chance to showcase their business ideas and to compete for $15,000.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Free Clinic received a generous donation in honor of its physicians. The University of Virginia Health System donated $30,000 to the clinic to commemorate National Doctors' Day. The clinic handles more than 8,000 visits annually and serves more than 2,600 medical, mental health, and dental patients each year.
