Tesla Roadster tricks: See them all in one place
Kicking off the Tesla Roadster unveiling on Thursday, CEO Elon Musk said he brought a live audience to make sure people don't think what the company will show was AI-generated. He wasn't joking. During the presentation, the Tesla Roadster successfully performed a number of tricks that boggle the mind and are mostly at odds with anything any regular car can even come close to doing. This includes stupidly fast acceleration, hanging upside-down on an inverted C-ramp, and, yes, flying.
Tesla unveils new Roadster and yes, it can actually fly
Tesla's Roadster may be a few years late, but at least it launched with a bang. The new Roadster, unveiled late on Thursday in McGregor, Texas, is an electric supercar boasting numbers that seem impossible. Far more fascinating than the numbers was a demo in which the car was driven upside down on a ramp and then, using boosters on the bottom and the sides, flips itself over mid-air and gently lowers itself to the ground.

The Tesla Roadster flew, drove upside down, and hit 60mph in under a second The next-gen Roadster has been in development for nearly a decade. But perhaps it was worth the wait. Elon Musk promised a flying car. And the Tesla Roadster did exactly that. Tesla demonstrated its next-generation Roadster at an event in Waco, Texas, where the electric supercar drove upside down, …
OpenAI finds a secret recording device in its office, uses its AI to figure out what it is
If you need more proof that our lives are quickly turning into a 'Mission Impossible' movie, we present to you the latest news coming from OpenAI. In a post on Tuesday, OpenAI said that it had discovered a "sophisticated recording device" hidden inside one of the company's offices. Turns out, an employee planted the device to an unknown end, and he was, in OpenAI's wording, "terminated," prompting some commenters to jokingly wonder what, exactly, that means.

Apple's upcoming iPad mini might be a lot pricier than the last one
This is according to a new report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, who claims that the 2026 iPad mini will cost close to $799, up two hundred bucks from the $599 starting price of the previous model. The new device will reportedly be the first iPad mini to come with an OLED display, and it will also be equipped with Apple's new A20 Pro chip, a new speaker system, and a horizontally-placed FaceTime camera.

Elon Musk gives worst financial advice ever, and the replies are hilarious
You know how security experts always tell you to be careful about posting your private (and especially private financial) data online? Yeah, what do they know. Elon Musk knows better. Over the weekend, whilst explaining to X users how the company's AI helper Grok can do the shopping for them, Musk suggested that they should simply feed the AI a photo of their credit card.

The latest Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra rumors and leaks: Everything we know so far
It's been an exceptionally busy summer for smartphones, but the fall and winter are shaping up to be similarly intense. And while the next-generation flagship phones, the Samsung S27, S27 Plus, and S27 Ultra, probably aren't coming until next February, reports out of Korea say the company has already started producing components for these phones. The most interesting among these will (of course) be the ultimate flagship, the Samsung S27 Ultra.

In 2025, Google unveiled an ambitious project called Android XR. The XR stands for "extended reality," and it's an Android-based platform (developed jointly by Google and Samsung) for smart eyewear. Back then, however, you could only see prototypes, and despite later demos of a product called Project Aura, no Android XR smart glasses were commercially available...until now. Yes, we're aware of Samsung's Galaxy XR, but that's a full-featured Android XR headset, not a pair of smart glasses.

Elon Musk to rename SpaceXAI as SpaceXSI
Thought SpaceXAI was hard to pronounce? Wait till you see what Elon Musk is cooking up next. Following Donald Trump's recent remarks that "artificial intelligence" should in fact be called "supreme intelligence" or "super intelligence," the tech billionaire decided to rename his recently renamed SpaceXAI (officially an AI-focused subsidiary of SpaceX) as SpaceXSI. Seemingly in wholehearted agreement with the president's idea, Musk shared his own decision on X on Sunday. "No more AI. SI.

Google's Gemini 4 Argon is the latest super-smart AI that most cannot get
Google's got a new frontier AI model, but as is customary these days, it's not available to most people. Launched on Thursday, Google Gemini 4 Argon is a "frontier" AI model that's rolling out to a "set of trusted cyber defenders" through Google's Fairwind Program. Tesla Roadster launch was postponed by two weeks due to 'high winds'
Tesla 's second-generation Roadster could be the most postponed car ever. Originally announced in November 2017, and slated for a 2020 launch, the allegedly super-quick electric car has been delayed time and time again. After many, many teasers and subsequent delays over the last two years, Tesla was finally slated to unveil the Roadster on Oct. 1. Alas, that's not going to happen. On Monday, Tesla's official X account said the event has been rescheduled to Oct. 15.
New Sonos Ace Ultra headphones have a genius 'linking' feature I can’t live without
A decade ago, when my daughter was still very little, I had a genius idea: I was going to watch content on my TV, but I’d use my headphones instead of speakers so I wouldn’t wake the baby. The key, or so I thought, would be the ability to quickly switch from one to the other as needed, as watching an entire movie with headphones can be a little tiresome. As simple as that sounds, it didn’t really work.
Sonos Ace Ultra headphones review: Comfy, versatile, and a little odd
Sonos' headphones have gone "Ultra," like the Bose QuietComfort Ultra before them. But what does that mean, exactly? Launched in 2024, the Sonos Ace were the company's first wireless, over-the-ear headphones. Now, the company has a new version, and the name itself – Sonos Ace Ultra – positions them above the old model and implies that these are really something special. Well, in a way, they are, but it really depends on how you plan on using them.
New iPad mini to come with A20 Pro chip and landscape camera, report says
Apple just had a very busy September, but from what we're hearing, the company plans to continue launching new products in quick succession over the next couple of months. Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, launches this October, and it may seem like it could seal the fate of the iPad mini. But the smallest of iPads has proven to be quite resilient over the years, and given just how much cheaper it is than the iPhone Duo ($599 vs. $1,999), it'll probably stick around for a while.

Apple to fix iPhone 18 Pro Face ID bug
After some iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max owners started complaining about a weird bug that reboots their phone, Apple has acknowledged the issue, and a fix is coming. First reported by 9to5Mac , the bug can happen after a failed Face ID attempt, with the phone freezing and ultimately rebooting. It doesn't happen to everyone; I've tried it out on an iPhone 18 Pro, both by unlocking the phone itself and the Passwords app while covering Apple's Face ID sensors, and everything worked as expected.

We were right about the 2015 MacBook Pro
Sometimes, the customers love a product so much that they don't want to see it change. And sometimes, the customers are right. The massive multinational companies that build all these products we love aren't too keen on admitting they made a mistake. But sometimes they admit it in the best possible way: by giving customers the product they wanted all along.
Apple opens super-fancy live music venue
Given how many iPhones, Macs and other gadgets it sells, it's sometimes easy to forget that Apple is also a content company. To promote its many digital content platforms like Apple Music and Apple TV, the company produces TV shows, movies, and hosts exclusive live concerts which you can find on Apple Music. Now, the company has a very fancy place to hosts those concerts. Apple Music Hall is a new live music venue at London's Battersea Power Station, and it looks amazing. That looks cozy.

The new iPhone A20 Pro chip benchmark results: Yeah, it's very, very fast
Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max come with Apple's latest mobile chip: the A20 Pro. The foldable iPhone Duo will also run on the new chip. Built on a 2nm process, the A20 Pro has a 6-core CPU with two super cores and four efficiency cores, a 7-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, and a dual 16-core Neural Engine that handles AI tasks. But does any of that techspeak translate into actual performance? To find out, we put the iPhone 18 Pro (the Pro Max yields near-identical results) to the test.
Apple AirPods 5 review: Who needs the Pro, anyway?
Apple's product lineup typically consists of a "regular" product and a pricier, Pro variant that comes with a number of extra features, at least a few of them so good that most people will always go for the Pro version if they can afford it. Apple's latest AirPods 5 are so good that they flip this dynamic on its head. They're an improved, yet significantly cheaper version of the AirPods 4 released in 2024. In many ways, they're as good as the AirPods Pro 3. In some ways, they're actually better.
Apple Watch Ultra 4 Review: The smartwatch for the health-conscious
This is going to be a review in progress. The reason is simple: the new Apple Watch Ultra 4, unveiled last week and launching properly tomorrow, touts numerous new features that won't be available until later this year (if you're in Europe, the timeline is unknown). Apple provided me with a review unit of the new Ultra 4, and all I could do was focus on what was there. The highlights: longer battery life (huge!) and a new heart rate monitoring system, which Apple says is best in the business.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max review: It's what's on the inside that counts
This is an unusual moment for Apple's iPhone Pro. Last year's model was a big redesign; this year's is all about refinement. At the same time, the company launched its first-ever foldable, the iPhone Duo . While it doesn't have all the top features of the Pro models, the Duo is, by virtue of its massive inner display and the novelty of it all, the more intriguing model. What can the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max do, then, to grab your attention?

Apple iPhone Duo hands-on: This is one smooth foldable phone
Would you believe it? Apple finally has an actual foldable phone in its lineup: the iPhone Duo. As is customary, following the grand unveiling on Wednesday Sept. 9, the company let journalists into a space where we could experience the new devices, and you can guess which one drew the biggest crowd. Fortunately, Apple brought more than one, so after some elbowing, persuading, and begging (mostly begging), we got a few minutes alone with the iPhone Duo. Here's what it's really like, at first glance.

The latest iPhone Ultra rumors and leaks: Everything we know about Apple's first foldable
At this point, the foldable iPhone is the biggest open secret in Silicon Valley. Apple kept a tight lid on its first-ever foldable phone right up until dropping the iOS 27 developer beta, which includes some direct and indirect references to the iPhone Ultra (also rumored to be called the iPhone Fold, iPhone Ultra Fold, or something else entirely). Early adopters already love foldables — and they have plenty of options — but Apple's been notably absent from the genre.
The 2018 iPad Pro was supposed to change the way we work. It didn't, but that's OK.
In 2015, Apple launched the first iPad Pro, a powerful tablet aimed at professionals. In 2018, the iPad Pro got so good that we thought it had a chance of replacing the laptop altogether. This hasn't happened, and I don't think it will anytime soon. Today, I'm looking at Mashable's former contributor Raymond Wong, who reviewed the third generation of Apple's iPad Pro back in 2018. Apple got everything right with the iPad Pro, except perhaps on the multitasking front, which Wong notes in his review.
