1. Introduction Gastric cancer (GC) is a leading cause of cancer morbidity and mortality worldwide [1]. According to GLOBOCAN 2020, there were about 1,089,103 new cases of gastric cancer patients (5.6% of the total cancer burden) [1]. Disease progression and a lack of effective treatment cause most of the mortality [2]. Therefore, preventing “high-risk” GC is the key to improving clinical outcomes.
