Berberine alleviates biofilm-associated immune-inflammatory injury in Staphylococcus aureus -induced osteomyelitis: insights from network pharmacology and experimental validation
Abstract Background: Staphylococcus aureus (SA)-induced osteomyelitis (OM) is a common orthopedic infection characterized by biofilm formation and persistent inflammation. Berberine (BBR), a natural isoquinoline alkaloid, exhibits antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activities. However, its therapeutic potential in OM and underlying mechanisms remain unclear.
Knowledge, attitude, and practice of patients with osteomyelitis: a cross-sectional study using structural equation modeling
Abstract Introduction: To assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) levels among patients with osteomyelitis, analyze their associated factors, and explore the pathways between knowledge, attitude, and practice. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in a large tertiary hospital from April 1st to June 1st, 2025, enrolling 405 patients with osteomyelitis. A self-administered questionnaire collected demographic and disease-related information and assessed KAP.
Effects of 40 Hz transcranial alternating current stimulation on neural synchronization and cognitive correlates in schizophrenia: An EEG study - Translational Psychiatry
Abstract Gamma-band neural oscillations are critically involved in working memory and are disrupted in schizophrenia. Transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) at gamma frequency is a promising noninvasive approach to restore oscillatory synchrony and enhance cognition.
