Impact of a clinical pharmacist-led stewardship programme on antibiotic utilisation and clinical outcomes in thoracic surgery: a retrospective interrupted time-series study at a tertiary hospital in China
Methods We conducted a quasi-experimental pre-implementation and post-implementation study with interrupted time-series (ITS) analysis. The pre-implementation period was from January 2019 to January 2023 (except January to February 2020 due to the pandemic), while the post-implementation period was from February 2023 to March 2024. All consecutive patients admitted to the thoracic surgery department and who received video-assisted thoracoscopic lung surgery (VATLS) were included.
