Epilepsy and Employment in Europe: A Systematic Review of Literature
1 Introduction Epilepsy is a common neurological disorder, affecting all aspects of the individual's life, including social integration. Drugs' side effects, psychiatric comorbidities, cognitive deficits, and driving limitations increase the burden of epilepsy and negatively impact educational attainment and employment [1, 2].
Ecological risk assessment in the southern Indian Ocean: Towards better seabird bycatch mitigation
1 INTRODUCTION Fisheries bycatch has been identified as the most serious threat to many seabird species (Phillips et al., 2016; Dias et al., 2019). In particular, albatrosses and large petrels, that are typically long-lived species, with life-history traits such as delayed maturity and low reproductive rates, are sensitive to even small increases in mortality rates as a result of interaction with fisheries (Hamer, Schreiber & Burger, 2001).
