Impacts of Anthropogenic Emission Change Scenarios on U.S. Water and Carbon Balances at National and State Scales in a Changing Climate
1 Introduction Anthropogenic gas and aerosol emissions play an important role in climate change (Rosenfeld et al., 2014; Samset et al., 2018; Shindell et al., 2007, 2009). The global surface temperature increased by 1.09°C from 1850–1900 to 2011–2020, with significant contributions from well-mixed greenhouse gases (GHGs, a warming of 1–2°C) and other anthropogenic forcings (such as aerosols and land use, a cooling of 0–0.8°C) (Masson-Delmotte et al., 2021).

Pressure-driven molecule implantation enabling ultrahigh-rate and ultralong-life zinc ion batteries
Aqueous zinc ion batteries (AZIBs) are very promising for scale energy storage because of their intrinsic safety, eco-friendliness, and cost-effectiveness [1], [2]. The zinc metal anodes feature a low potential and a high hydrogen evolution overpotential that provides a wider electrochemical stability window (ESW) [3]. The double-electron (Zn0/2+) transfer mechanisms during charging and discharging contribute to the high energy density of AZIBs [4], [5].
Sulfite activation of Fe-Mn bimetallic oxides for rapid oxidative removal of As(III) in water: Involvement of active Mn(III)
Under a Creative Commons license open access Keywords As(III) Fe-Mn bimetallic oxides Sulfite active Mn(III) Oxidation 1. Introduction Arsenic (As), as a toxic metalloid produced by artificial and natural geochemical cycles (such as mining, pesticide use, natural weathering, and volcanic eruptions), has aggravated the harm to global drinking water safety for many years [1], [2].

Raiders’ huge second-half collapse spoils home opener
LAS VEGAS (AP) — On the same day one of Mark Davis’ two professional teams made franchise history in championship fashion, the other did so in a brutal manner. For the first time, the Raiders lost a game they led by 20 or more points when Las Vegas blew a 20-0 halftime lead and fell to the Arizona Cardinals 29-23 in overtime on Sunday. “Disappointed,” Raiders safety Duron Harmon said. “It’s very disappointing. We knew they were going to come back.

Abstract No. 343 Retrospective analysis of the outcome of angiographic embolization for bleeding peptic ulcers
Abstract No. 59 Percutaneous microwave ablation vs. cryoablation for cT1a (≤4cm) small renal masses: 12-year experience at a single center
The incidence of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) has more than doubled in the USA since 1975, accounting for more than 75,000 diagnoses per year. Concomitant with the rising incidence, thermal ablation is now considered an acceptable alternative to partial nephrectomy for all patients with cT1a small renal masses. The purpose of this study was to compare the safety and efficacy of microwave ablation (MWA) and cryoablation (CA) in the treatment of cT1a renal masses.
Wide-swath and high-resolution whisk-broom imaging and on-orbit performance of SDGSAT-1 thermal infrared spectrometer
Under a Creative Commons license open access Keywords Thermal infrared Whisk-broom Wide-swath and high-resolution SDGSAT-1. 1. Introduction Space-based thermal infrared (TIR) remote sensing has been witnessed in an increasing application involving land and solid Earth, health and hazards, and security and surveillance (Sobrino et al., 2016).
Abstract No. 581 Gender-based analysis of mentoring in interventional radiology: opportunities to engage the next generation of women in interventional radiology
To assess the experience of male and female trainees in seeking mentorship in interventional radiology and to identify differences in access to mentors and gaps in engaging trainees interested in the field
Systematic investigation of the relationships between Trimethylamine N-oxide and L-carnitine with obesity in both human and rodents
Systematic investigation of the relationships between Trimethylamine N-oxide and L-carnitine with obesity in both human and rodents Previous study suggested the potential associations between Trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) and its metabolic precursor L-carnitine with obesity. However, the existing evidences are limited and inconsistent.
Monitoring of optical emissions in laser cladding of 316L stainless steel
Abstract Laser cladding is so complex that small disturbances may cause defects. Developing on-line monitoring technology for laser cladding is thus a priority task. Compared with expensive spectrometers and high-speed cameras, an economical optical sensing system based on two different photodiodes was established to optimize laser parameters and help monitor abnormal working conditions.
