Gabby Peyton’s Biography
I’m a food and travel writer and culinary historian based in St. John’s, NL. My work has appeared in Eater, Canadian Geographic, Chatelaine and enRoute, among other print and digital publications. I'm the restaurant critic and food columnist for The Telegram in St. John’s, NL and I write regularly for the CBC as well as travel companies like Travelzoo and Skyscanner, and I create historical recipes for websites like Canadian Food Focuse.
My debut book entitled “Where We Ate: A Field Guide to Canada’s Restaurants, Past and Present” is out June 2023 featuring more than 150 restaurants that showcase the culinary history of Canada.
