CLIVE, Iowa — It’s not cheap to start up a K-9 program — or to expand one. The Clive Police Department is thankful to be getting some help. For the entire month of June, $10 from the highest-tier wash at Silverstar Car Wash locations will be donated to the Clive Police Department’s K-9 program. That’s roughly a third of the price of the wash. The K-9 program isn’t covered by the department’s budget, so they need some help with the funds.

What central Iowa riders and buyers of e-bikes need to know Original

DES MOINES, Iowa – According to AAA Iowa, crashes related to e-bikes and scooters are up by more than 1,000%. That’s one reason they’re releasing a guide for parents and buyers. The E-Ride Ready Guide is designed to help riders and parents be informed. One area AAA officials emphasize is the importance of knowing what you’re buying. AAA and Iowa Bike Coalition officials say some e-motos, which have higher speeds than typical e-bikes, are being sold as regular e-bikes.

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — A recent consumer report shows that Gen Z now prefers buying their clothes in physical stores, leading online-only brands to create physical storefronts and causing some malls to surge. Jordan Creek Town Center is at the epicenter of that surge. The Town Center is currently at over 99% capacity with nearly every storefront filled or about to be filled. For areas that are unfilled, tenants are already lined up.
