What was your first job as a journalist?
I did some stringing for a local paper - covering high school sports.
How is social media changing news?
It's making things faster and more reactive - less about the trust and more about being first.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means being truthful with yourself and your audience.

I like writing and learning about things.

yes - was a jack of all trades...sports editor, news editor, editor in chief.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Hustle, hustle and hustle. No one got ahead by doing the bare minimum...especially in journalism. Find angles, attack and be relentless.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
spending time my with my wife and son
