Guest opinion: Weber County takes steps to balance property rights, economic benefits of short-term rental properties and regulate bad actors
Almost two decades after Airbnb permanently changed the way we book vacations, it’s clear that short-term rentals (STR) are here to stay. We’ve all felt how the boom affected Weber County. Now we’re dealing with growing pains that came with this rapid growth in tourism.
Guest opinion: Thank you, Commissioner Jenkins!
Above all, a great man seeks the welfare of others before his own; in all things, he humbly, fervently strives for excellence, not for the sake of achieving greatness, but that others might reap blessings from his leadership and find themselves made better for having known him. The term “COVID-19” is relatively new; however, in Weber County, we have a long-standing tradition of preparedness and are ready to face new challenges.
Op-ed: Commissioners -- Changes balance preservation and access at Pineview and Causey reservoirs

Nights remembered of thoughtful conversations over beautiful campfires, rising in the early mornings to ski the glass like water, and afternoons hiking in a city named after one of God’s most beautiful gardens are everyday experiences for our residents. However, some of our outdoor gems are on the verge of being loved too much or loved the wrong way.
