Dead Space 2 is the 2011 follow-up to the horror cult classic, 2008’s Dead Space. Dead Space was among the first original IP entries from EA Redwood Shores, who had predominantly been producing licensed games to that point. Dead Space was the reformed origins of a failed pitch for System Shock 2 under the guidance of gaming juggernaut Glen Schofield. While EA Redwood Shores didn’t land the System Shock 2 development contract, they did have some magic on their hands from the original game pitch.

It is a jam-packed October for video game releases, and it is very easy for some smaller games to fly under the radar, but one that should be on yours is A Tiny Sticker Tale. From developers Ogre Pixel, this wholesome, sticker-filled, bite-sized adventure is one that is short but pretty sweet. Playing as a Donkey named Flynn, we embark on a journey across Figori island.

It’s always daunting to pick up a hero shooter for the first time. You get sat down in front of a roster of characters you know nothing about, and you’re told to pick one of them and get in the fight. All of these characters have unique abilities, unique personalities, and completely different playstyles. It can sometimes feel like you’re subject to a virtual Rorschach test – that the devs are trying to parse out who you are through your pick.
