A range of new tools is helping transport authorities, planners and policymakers make transport systems more gender inclusive, according to a recent event hosted by the Global Alliance for Feminist Transport (GAFT). The event brought together experts from Women Mobilize Women, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the City of Detroit to present practical resources designed to support gender-responsive mobility.

Monserrat Miranda Vega, the Marketing & Communication Director at Ayvens Mexico, initially joined the company directly after finishing her Master’s degree, taking on a role in customer experience. She then had the opportunity later in her career to take on a marketing role, which was better suited to her expertise. She never planned to end up in the mobility sector, but she heavily enjoys her work and learns something new every day from the industry. I’ve often been the only woman in the room.
